Ikebukuro (池袋), is a commercial and entertainment district of Tokyo and the largest city in Toshima-ku. It is the general location setting of "Durarara!!" and is home to the protagonists. It is also home to many myths as well as the infamous "color gangs" that fight for territory in Ikebukuro. Kidnappings occur regularly and are often committed by Pharmaceuticals to use in human experiments.
Downtown Ikebukuro is the place where the streets are alive. This is where mostly everything happens!!! Although this area of Ikebukuro is known for kidnapping for human experimentation, color gangs, and strange mythes, it can be a wonderful place if you are trying to blend in with the wood works!
